4 MEMORABLE COUPLE DATES

Do you struggle with coming up with date ideas for you and your husband? I have created a list of 4 memorable couple dates for you!

  • Take a picnic to the park
  • Create a movie night outside
  • Go on a nature trail
  • Do a game night challenge

A PICNIC AT THE PARK

When you take a picnic, make it special. Purchase an actual picnic basket. Fill it with your nice dishes, silverware and glasses. If you don’t feel like cooking then purchase the food ahead of time and place the food in nice covered dishes. Make sure to add candles and a lighter. Some pretty flowers in a vase would be a nice touch that would be attractive sitting on a big blanket. If you want you could bring lawn chairs instead.

Find a cozy area so you will not be disturbed or distracted. Put your phones on silent and enjoy each other’s company. Make sure to take pictures so you can create a memory book of your dates! If one of you plays a guitar then bring it along. Play music on your phone and dance to it. Try making your conversations about the two of you and not the kids. Try flirting again to emotionally connect again.

CREATE A MOVIE NIGHT OUTSIDE

Rent a movie that your husband loves! Take a t.v. outside with a DVD player or borrow a projector. If you use a projector, set up a white sheet where it is hanging from something. Point the projector towards the sheet. Bring a big blanket and soft pillows outside to place on the ground facing the movie. Pop some popcorn, buy some candy and have your favorite beverage available. Once it becomes dark, lay on the blanket, cuddle and enjoy the movie.

GO ON A NATURE WALK

Find a state park or someone’s land to go on a nature walk. Make sure you take bug spray with you if it is hot. I like to hike in the mountains on trails to discover new things. Pack plenty of water and some protein snacks in your backpack.

Seeing God’s beauty will be inevitable. You can have a devotion and prayer time among the beauty around you. See if you can find a stream to play in or admire. Listening to a body of water flow can be relaxing and enjoyable. Go out to eat when you are done as a reward for exercising.

DO A GAME NIGHT CHALLENGE

I don’t know about you but I am competitive. Pick a game that you both love and challenge each other. Before you start, choose what the winner gets. My husband and I both like back massages. Here is a list of games you can play and winning suggestions.

Games

  • Tennis
  • A minute to win it game
  • Card game (Strip poker you both win)
  • Badminton
  • Bowling
