Create an effortless printable menu plan
Meal planning doesn’t have to be complicated. You can put healthy and easy meals on the table. Your family deserves nutrition without breaking your bank or back. I will give you tips on how to create an effortless printable meal plan through videos and downloadable worksheets.
WHY SHOULD I MENU PLAN?
When running your race, you need a healthy body. Your body is your temple and you need to take care of it. I know it is hard to eat healthy at times because it is a struggle for me. This post to hold myself accountable.
I am older now so I have felt the havoc of what not eating well has done to my body. Between stress and unhealthy eating habits, I have acquired Hashimoto’s disease. It is an autoimmune disease that affects my thyroid. My body is attacking itself. Eating right and becoming as stress-free as I can, has led to my healing. Please, think about incorporating healthy choices when creating your list.
Another big reason that I meal plan is to save money. The best thing to do is make a list. I have many friends that go to the grocery store without a list and they forget something or they will buy only a few days worth. Traveling back and forth waste time and money for gas. Buying only what is on that list will save you money so try not to buy extras. If you tend to buy extra, then why not try shopping at places like Walmart pickup.

ADDITIONAL TIPS FOR MENU PLANNING
One thing that I didn’t mention in the video is that I purchase a cheap calendar. Then I make a copy of every month to fill in my menus. This way I can still use the calendar as a regular calendar.
This is a recap on what I do to create a menu plan:
- Create a list of meats, vegetables, fruits, breads, desserts to refer back to
- Start off by writing in the meats first on the menu plan
- If you want to, strategically plan at least 2 meals with ground beef (or chicken, etc…) to save money within the same week
- Also, remember to figure out what day you might want leftovers
- Fill in the bread, vegetables and fruits
- Take it a step further after you have mastered this and try creating breakfast, lunch and snack menus
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
